i heart envelopes: ruby beauties

Oh, where to start with my wedding?! A year later, and I still can’t believe how great it was. Sigh. So… I’ll start with the envelopes. Sarah made us a super cute liner for them, but I’ll show you more pictures of all that jazz later. {To keep you sitting on the edge of your seat for more!} In the meantime, feast your eyes on these little ladies. I mean, who wouldn’t enjoy getting a beautiful red envelope in the mail, accessorized with vintage stamps?

the details: I purchased all the vintage stamps from a local coin & stamp store. If the idea of using vintage stamps interests you, there are lots of resources online. {Victoria from The Milkfed Press recommends using Champion Stamp Company}. The ink is simply a white gel pen (I find that gets me the most vibrant white), and the envelopes are Carnival envelopes from my favorite inexpensive envelope retailer, Envelope Mall. It looks like the exact envelope I purchased is no longer on the site, but you can find lots of beautiful euro flap envelope choices at Paper Source, {America’s stationary mecca}. xx, linds
