Hello and Welcome! Whether you’re cozied in with a cup of tea for a night of Pinterest perusing or you just need a quick little dose of pretty in the midst of your crazy day, I’m glad you stopped by! I created this blog in 2009 as a way of chronicling my custom calligraphy & hand lettering projects and little bits of my life. Since then, I have gotten married, had a baby and opened up the Lindsay Letters Shop (woo hoo!). I am so grateful for this incredible journey and I’m thrilled that you’re here!

I’d love to meet you! For now, here’s a little about me. I was born and raised in IL, and some weird guy just moved me across the country to the desert. That weird guy is my fantastic, hilarious, gorgeous husband named Dugan and we have a beautiful little girl named Eva Love. (The most amazing little girl there ever was). I love getting lost in antique malls, iced coffee, worship, outside, lipstick, cooking, eating, running {because of the eating}, tattoos, cupcakes, decorating, intentional time, having fun with my clothes, making people feel loved, and lovely lettering. I am eternally grateful for the gifts and life God has given me, and I know that every single second of this I owe to God and His incredible love and favor.

You’re probably wondering these things: 1. Can we be friends? Yes. Please. 2. Can I create custom work for you? No, sorry. But please go to the LL Shop and buy lots of things so that I can keep feeding our family. 3. How did I get started? You can read more on that and other FAQs here! F A Q >>

Sit back, relax, and enjoy yourself! I hope you leave with a smile on your face. xoxo

    Kelly - Hi Lindsay,

My name is Kelly and Im a graphic designer. I was wondering how much you charged to have my name written in your awesome calligraphy so that I can then use it as a logo.
I am in the process of revamping my site and would like to have a unique hand written option for my name.

Karli - Do you ever have trouble with the post office with your lettering? I am designing an envelope for my little brother’s wedding and I don’t think the fonts/wording I have chosen are too crazy but are different than the norm. Just wanted to ask someone who mails quite a bit. ThanksReplyCancel

JaNell Frisby - Well; feeling very sad to see that you aren’t taking custom orders :( I just finally, after years of thinking “A tattoo would be something I’d like to have”, decided I am 100% ready! I never went through with it because I couldn’t think of anything that I was absolutely certain about having on me FOR•EV•ER. Today, I am certain that I want, “In Christ” and was CERTAIN that I wanted it come come from you. Hoping just maybe you’d have mercy on this girl that’s been thinking for several years and finally absolutely sure! I want it because it would be on my side/inner wrist area and would serve as a constant reminder that my identity is “In Christ”, my ability to love, forgive, be kind, be generous, persevere through difficult times, etc. was all “In Christ”. Not of myself, but in Him. Anyway, should you have time out of being busy with the shop and a busy mama (I KNOW how that is as well! I have two little girls, ages 3 and 1), let me know your cost and I’d be forever and DAILY thankful as I looked at my arm and remembered to abide in Christ :) Blessings!

I want to get the creativity print for a friend but only see it as part of the frame package. I cannot afford the whole deal. Is it available singularly? Also if I order the frame, would it come with the creativity poster?

Kaylee Jinks - I just wanted to say that I LOVE EVERYTHING that I have seen on here! My husband and I are stepping out past our everyday jobs and starting attempting to do the things that we love to do. For him it’s wood working and for me it’s words and paper. I just wanted you to know that your site, your Pinterest account, and your products made me so happy just looking through them and I wish you the best blessings in your work.

Brooke Rochon - Just had to say that I found your work on Pinterest and will be forever inspired by it. I’m a mom and a designer and after nearly 15 years on the job, I’m finally realizing that I’m never going to be truly happy doing the kind of design work I’ve been stuck with until I start to do my own thing too. So, because of work like yours and Molly Jacques and others, I’ve started using calligraphy and I want to integrate it into my illustration work. I love that there are people out there like you and that you bring such elegant attention to something so basic as penmanship and have turned it into an art form and something to appreciate. As I’ve begun using calligraphy I feel even more creative every day. Thank you so much for being you!ReplyCancel

    Emily - Hi Miss Lindsay,

I want to be your friend. I am a native Arizonan, currently studying in England for another month. However, I have been following your blog and shop and totally think you’re wicked cool. And so I confess to fandom and thankfulness for the creativity God has given you that blesses me even when thousands of miles away.

    K. Cool

    Mary - Hey Lindsay,

Hope you had a great weekend! My name is Mary and I ran into your blog while doing some work for a client of mine, David Kind. On a sidenote just have to say that I really love seeing you share your creativity, life, and style. As an entrepreneur, myself, it’s so important and inspiring to see women like you doing their thing! So thank you for being an example to women and girls.

But back to David Kind :) – they are a great new eyewear service online. You basically log onto their site, answer a few questions, upload a photo and their in-house stylist will send you 6 pairs to choose from based on your answers and bone structure. You then indicate which ones you’d like to purchase and your prescription when you send the glasses back. After, you receive your new pair with your prescription lens. Best part, all shipping is free! The glasses are made with high quality materials in Italy or Japan. They compare to high-end designer eyewear that retails for $400-$600 but because they deal directly to consumer, they are able to offer it for $299.

I showed David Kind your blog and they absolutely loved what you’re about & your content. They’d be delighted and honored to gift you a pair. All they ask is that you create a post of your experience.

Is this something you’d be interested in? Please let me know. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Mandy - Hi Lindsay! I discovered your prints through an Instagram post about the Influence Conference and I immediately took note of the dessert landscape in your About page picture.

I’ve been living in Phoenix for most of my life so I always get excited when I find other bloggers and creatives who are living in this wonderful state!

Anyway, just wanted to say hello. And I may be ordering one of your fall prints soon because I’m absolutely in love with it. =DReplyCancel
